Classes
What to Expect in a Class
Warm-ups and Stretching
All classes begin with a warm up and stretching routine. Not only does this help release tension, it helps you to settle into the moment and the forthcoming practice.

These movements are suitable for all ages and abilities, increasing range of movement gently and gradually to avoid injury.
Moving Forms
Part of the classes are focused on learning a set of movements, usually a simple set of Qigong exercises, and in some classes the Tai Chi form .

The benefit initially is mainly of increased coordination as you learn the choreography of the movements. Eventually, as they become second nature, you will be able to feel the effects deeper.
Static Qigong
At the heart of Qigong is static practice, this can take the form of standing or sitting positions.
The positions are first used to correct misalignments in the body, then once this has taken place, to increase the energy and increase a persons potential. Remaining still enables the mind and body to relax.

Partner Work
There are often some partner exercises. Working with a partner has unique health benefits that are hard to obtain when only practicing the solo exercises.

All exercises are practised slowly and in a light-hearted, safe environment.
